Curriculum Vitae: Brian Meddle - native speaker in our region

I was born in 1948; the eldest son of a well respected fishing family in Leigh-on-Sea, part of Southend-on-Sea; a seaside holiday town on the north coast of the Thames about 70 km east of London. I was educated at Westcliff High School for Boys, one of the top Grammar schools in England.I left school at 19 and worked in Hatton Garden selling precious metals to the jewellery trade. At age 23 I married and we had 3 boys.Unfortunately the marriage did not last and I had to bring up my three boys alone until I met Michaela, an Austrian lady. In 1982 we were married; we have a boy and a girl. Also in 1982 I started my own business and ran it successfully until October 2005 when I sold up and bought a pension in Pusterwald. Early in 2006 I started assisting with English in Pusterwald Kindergarten and over the next few years became the native speaker in most of the local schools. I enjoy teaching children and try to make English fun! I get a lot of satisfaction in knowing that the English being taught here is of the highest standard and that I am contributing to our local community.
